This is a reference catalogue for the original Paris-Dakar Rally PC patches and promotional downloads. The old downloads address has been restored so that links from game databases and period coverage lead to useful information again.
We do not currently host verified patch executables or the full game. The filenames below identify historical files; they are not download buttons. The Internet Archive references document what the original site offered, and do not guarantee that a linked file is still retrievable.
Patch versions and original filenames
Archive dates below are captures of the original file addresses, not confirmed patch release dates. A filename and an archived URL alone do not verify an executable’s contents.

The filenames were under /shared/patch/ on the original domain. Their capture order should not be mistaken for the order in which versions were released. We have not reconstructed separate change lists for versions 1.01–1.03 without their original documentation.

What the original site says about version 1.04
The downloads page captured on 6 April 2002 describes version 1.04 as an update for European and US releases of the PC game, covering installations from 1.00 through 1.03. It says the update combines earlier fixes with additional changes, specifically mentioning Voodoo3 and Windows XP.
The page directs players to the readme included with the patch for details. That summary does not establish a complete list of changes, and the original support email in the archived page should not be treated as a currently maintained help desk.
Before using an old patch
These are Windows PC updates, not PlayStation 2 updates. Identify your edition and installed version, retain a backup of saves, and read the documentation supplied with any patch obtained elsewhere. Do not assume that an executable with the expected name is an authentic copy.
The archived mention of Windows XP is historical. It does not confirm compatibility with Windows 10 or Windows 11, and we have not tested the original game or these patches on those systems. A modern compatibility guide would require separate testing; this catalogue makes no such claim.
Music, wallpaper and movie clips
The April 2001 downloads page listed three MP3 music samples and wallpaper in 640×480, 800×600 and 1024×768 sizes. The later 2002 page also offered movie clips in MOV and MPG formats.
These were promotional extras rather than a full copy of the game. The archived pages let you examine the original listings, but we have not verified the current availability of every linked media file. A page loading successfully does not mean all of its downloads were preserved.
